PortalDex — toys-to-life collection tracker
Effective date: 24 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the PortalDex app ("the app", "we") handles information. PortalDex is developed by Jensen Innovation (Klaus Jensen).
Summary
PortalDex does not collect, transmit, sell or share your personal data. There are no user accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Your collection data stays on your device.
Information we do not collect
- We do not require an account or sign-in.
- We do not collect names, email addresses, location, contacts or device identifiers.
- We do not use advertising or third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- Your collection, wishlist, notes and settings are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to us or to any server.
NFC (Android)
On Android, the app can use your device's NFC reader solely to read a figure held against the device, in order to identify it and add it to your local collection. NFC data is processed on the device only and is not transmitted anywhere.
Optional photo contributions
The app includes an optional "Contribute a photo" feature. If — and only if — you choose to use it, the app opens an external Google Form in your browser where you may voluntarily submit a photo of a figure, item or card and, optionally, a name to credit the photo. This is entirely optional and never required to use the app.
Anything you enter in that form is submitted to and processed by Google Forms, and is used only to improve the images shown in the app. Google's handling of that data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Do not submit personal or sensitive information in the form.
Optional price corrections
If you choose "Suggest a correction" on a price, the app opens a form on GitHub in your browser. Anything you submit there is public and handled by GitHub under GitHub's Privacy Statement.
Links to other services
The app can open third-party websites in your browser — for example eBay, Amazon or PriceCharting to search for a figure, or a source page such as a community wiki credited for figure details. Those websites are operated by third parties and have their own privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for their content or practices.
Children's privacy
The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
